MAY 31ST

Join us on Saturday May 31 for Playhouse Rock, a night of music by Delaware County indie rockers Jesse Gimbel, Fataday Korngor, Rescue Pets, and DelCobras. Look for them on your favorite streaming service or click the links below to listen to their music on Bandcamp.

Jesse Gimbel

Echoing the sounds of acts like Death Cab for Cutie, the Decemberists, Elliott Smith, Sonic Youth, and Wye Oak, Upper Darby’s Jesse Gimbel is fully immersed in his craft, continually refining his deep knowledge in the tools of his trade. Fans of rich, real, relatable cinematic pop will quickly connect with Jesse’s music.

Fataday Korngor

Hailing from Prospect Park, Fataday Korngor always delivers a show full of energy and passion, describing himself as “punk in spirit and pop in personality.” His punk spirit allows him to carry on with life no matter what it throws at him, while his bright, poppy personality shines through in his music and stage presence. This concert will mark the one-year anniversary of his EP Growing Pains

Rescue Pets

Ardmore-based singer-songwriter Samantha Goodman never claimed to be a musician. Nevertheless, she lets you into her inner world through her musical project, Rescue Pets. Inspired by rescue animals who endure hardship before having to relearn how to love and trust, Rescue Pets confronts the idea that humans are also often flawed and complex creatures.

DelCobras

2025 is the year of the snake, and also the year Havertown-based DelCobras have chosen to slither onto the Philadelphia rock scene and take the world by storm with their three headed Power Pop act. The band's first single "The Turnaround" is a rocking, rousing Power-Pop anthem of self redemption. Life can be scary, but don't fear the cobra!
